DES MOINES, IOWA – Kimberly Williams has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of Consumer Safety Technology, LLC (CST). CST manufactures and leases Intoxalock-branded ignition interlock and alcohol monitoring devices that have been preventing drunk driving for over 20 years. The incoming CEO will begin work immediately transitioning with CEO of 14 years, Dave Arringdale, who will be moving to a new advisory role as Executive Chairman of the Board.

With Dave Arringdale playing a key role in recruitment, Intoxalock’s private equity owners, ClearLight Partners LLC, conducted a nationwide search for someone that would be a great fit for the Iowa based company that prides itself in helping people to live and drive responsibly. Kimberly earned her MBA from the University of Chicago before joining Boston Consulting Group in 1992. In the years that followed, she accumulated over 16 years of experience in top executive roles of several successful consumer-facing and business-to-business companies across technology driven industries.

“I am thrilled to take on this new challenge,” confirms Kimberly. “Not only because of the growth potential I see in the company and the industry, but also due to the contribution I believe ignition interlocks and alcohol monitoring provide to the community. I really take a lot of pride in being a part of this industry and its goals.

Kimberly adds that her first challenge at Intoxalock will be to immerse herself in learning the complexities of the business and to ensure that Intoxalock continues its best-in-class service to both its clients and partners in law enforcement and monitoring. Looking to the future, Kim stresses her excitement about technology. Intoxalock markets the category’s most advanced equipment with the Intoxalock eLERT which combines fuel cell reliability with advanced technology features like real time reporting, GPS and 911 alerting capabilities to meet specific state requirements. This fall, eLERT 24 joins Intoxalock’s portfolio adding 24-hour programmability to monitor sobriety continuously with a single device.
