2018 Intoxalock Scholarship Winner
As part of our ongoing effort in drunk driving prevention and education, Intoxalock is pleased to announce the 2018 winner of the Intoxalock Drunk Driving Prevention Scholarship. This year's winner will receive $3,000 towards educational expenses.
All applicants were asked to create an original 30 to 60 second Public Service Announcement (PSA) video on the dangers of drunk driving and prevention techniques including the role of ignition interlock devices in stopping drunk drivers.
We received numerous submissions that exemplified creativity, narrative storytelling, and effective messaging. Fifteen members of the Intoxalock Scholarship Review Panel reviewed each submission to determine our 2018 winner.
With that, we would like to congratulate Carlos Ramos (Florida International University) for winning our 2018 Drunk Driving Prevention Scholarship!

About Our 2018 Winner
Carlos is a Pre-Med undergraduate at Florida International University with a major in Biology. After sharing the great news with him about winning this scholarship, we asked him a few questions about his educational aspirations and why he applied for our scholarship:
Q: What would you like to do after college?
A: I would like to go to Medical School (no specific one) and finally become a doctor, later specializing in cardiology.
Q: How will this scholarship help your academic endeavors?
A: This scholarship will pay my college tuition for this semester. Thanks to this scholarship, I’m able to keep pursuing my most precious dream...studying.
Q: Why did you choose to apply for this Drunk Driving Prevention scholarship?
A: I chose this scholarship because I thought it was unique and creating a PSA was more fun and interesting than doing a regular essay.
